    1991

    FOUNDING

    Mr Peter Baumbach, as the sole shareholder, founded BAUMBACH Stahlhandel GmbH for the trade in and processing of steel products.

    1995

    GROWTH

    After a few years of self-employment with one employee, the business took on a volume that required the hiring of another employee. In 1995, Ralph Kuhlmann was hired as a sales employee. In 2000 and 2003, further hirings followed to accommodate the growing business. Ralph Kuhlmann left Baumbach Stahlhandel GmbH in 2004 before returning in 2018. Marius Schoenen joined the company in 2006.

    2007

    RENAMING OF THE COMPANY

    The change in thinking at the steelworks also required a reorientation for the Baumbach company. So Peter Baumbach founded BAUMBACH Stahl-Service GmbH on 14 July 2007 with the aim of putting the emphasis on service. Stahl-Service GmbH gradually took over the business of Stahlhandel GmbH.

    2019

    CHANGE OF LEADERSHIP

    After more than 27 years of self-employment, Peter Baumbach wanted his company to be in good hands for the future and planned the succession procedure for BAUMBACH Stahl-Service GmbH in good time. Since 1 July 2019, Marius Schoenen and Ralph Kuhlmann have been responsible for Baumbach Stahl-Service GmbH as partners and managing directors and are looking forward to leading the company into the future with their passion for steel.
